72 Tilt Column Spring
I have searched and have yet to find the info I need. I have a 72 c10 with factory tilt column. The spring behind the shift selector is not working.
My parts guy says the correct GM#7800670 but nobody seems to have this spring GM#7812853 is for every year except 71-72. Has anyone used the other spring. Does anyone know what the difference is? Can you replace the spring without taking the whole column apart? Any help much appreciated. |

Not much to go wrong unless it is broken.
I thought mine was missing, but it was stuck in the column cover in some nasty grease.....you might check. It took removing the column and turning it over, but I got it. |
