I need your opinion pleas!!!

I am building a custom console for the truck. I have rod doors interrior. I have included a pic of the door pannel. I have also included a picture of the console lid I have fabbed up. I have started the foam sculpting and need your advice before i wrap it in vinyl! Should I leave it as current or should I take out more foam in a square shap on the front of the point so that it resembles the exact design of the door pannel? Im thinking of leaving about a 1" lip on the sides and front of the console and taking the rest down allowing the arrow head looking part to remain raised like on the pannel. Let me know your thoughts or Ideas...
