exhaust hangar question.
Are these brackets factory for a big block only? or could you get them on small block trucks also? Thanks.

I am not sure if they were big block only but in your pics, I believe that big block only had duals from the factory.
Does that truck have a big block? Jim |

Originally a big block, 1/2 ton, 2 wd with a 3 on the tree. Big block is gone now.

My GMC has the same exhaust bracket (single exhaust, drivers side only) orig motor was a 307. I've looked on numerous old trucks and can't find a match for the pass. side for my dual ex. set-up. I guess I'll have to fab. one.

Why couldn't you just flip the drivers side around for a pass. side hanger?

Factory dual exhaust on BB only, consequently only BB had the RH hanger. The LH hanger is the same BB or SB. Yours appear to be original to truck.
You could turn the LH hanger around and use on RH side and it would work but wouldn't look the same as the factory version is a mirror image.

I have the same hanger on the drivers side and my 72 came with an inline 6
