Any members in Winslow, AZ?
I am trying to do a deal with a guy in Winslow on a Mercury...so I can buy another truck...LOL! I want to see if anyone knows of him so I can find out if he is legit. He sounds like a good ole boy but you never know. Better safe than sorry.

I'm standin on a corner in Winslow Arizona, its such a fine sight to see, its a girl my lord in a flatbed Ford slowin down to take a look at me, takin it eaaasyyy, takin it eaaasyyy, dont let the sound of your own wheels drive ya crazy...........................
I couldn't help it. Everytime I hear the words "Winslow Arizona" I think of that song. Did the band "America" sing that? I am in the Phoenix area and don't live near Winslow but I will PM ya if I head up that way. I travel around the state periodically.

By the way, I just read your other post about this guy and the proposed wire transfer. DO NOT DO IT unless you can directly deal with his bank by phone and NOT HIM. Better yet, have your bank call his bank. The bank will need your account number and a routing number. If he had that information he could milk you dry. If he has to wire the money from his bank get the name of the bank, address, and telephone number. Then look up that information and verify it. Never give your account information to anyone. I would presume that he may be picking up the car in person. If so just have him bring cash with him. If he paying with a money order or cashiers check and is having the car shipped tell him you need a few days for the check or money order to clear. I he does not agree to such terms I would stop dealing with him. Just my two cents worth.
Good luck !!!

My wife is from Winslow. Her dad still lives there and knows quite a few people. PM me his name, and I'll see if he knows him.

m2fine...it was the Eagles. In Winslow there is corner with a picture of a girl and a flatbed Ford painted on the wall. I was going to ship the car COD after I got the money. My first reaction is to refuse to give him anything so I will just request his bankers name and phone number and have my bank call them and complete the transaction...that would work. Once I have the money I am at no risk since the shipping is COD. I also thought about setting up a separate account for the transaction but that is kind of a pain when the bank can handle it.
I have not heard back from him yet so we will see. He seemed very concerned about the transport company and was going to call them direct to try to negotiate a better deal. He also spent a great deal of time telling me about another deal that nearly went bad on him so he is very cautious. This could be just another transparent attempt to gain trust. ckhd...so far all I know is his first name, Art. I tired the reverse lookup of his phone and it was a Verizon cell from Winslow...at that parts is correct.
