‘68 3.73 PosiTrac Rearend

Rearend sold to blue69. Payment received. Thanks!

Not willing to split up and pull carrier at this time. This ad is for the complete rearend.

I’ve got a ‘68 GM Positraction Rearend from my 1/2 ton c/10 (listed as G80 on SPID). It’s 6-lug, very quiet but will need an emergency brake line on the driver side. I’m including a new one with the rearend.

I prefer pickup but will ship via Fastenal at buyer’s expense (please don’t ask me for shipping quote if you’re not prepared to pay it). Pictures below should give you a good description of what i have. It still loaded in truck but will be pulled once payment is made. Thanks!

$500 firm picked up. Any shipping charges will be on top of that.

Would I be able to swap in my 72 5 lug axles for a direct fit.

I don't believe they are the same spline. Try a little searching on this forum and you should be able to find your answer pretty quickly.

I’ve done the opposite of this. I took a 72’ positraction carrier and had it installed it in a 68’ rear using the original 68’ axles.

Actually, 30 splines. Just did a ring & pinion change in a 72 housing and had to get one new axle, 30 splines.

At this point, I'd like to leave it all intact and sell as a complete set-up.

I will consult the rules, but I’m pretty sure, at the end of the day, who i sell something to is up to me. Kinda like the “I’ll take it” rule. At the end of the day, the seller decides who an item is sold to. Regardless, no other member was inline to purchase the item as listed.

In this case, the buyer commented on the thread and made himself known (Buyers Code, Section II). We simply handled the specifics like his shipping address and my private PayPal address out of thread.
