68-72 Gmc fenders the same?

Ive been doing some research on the forums and read that GMC fenders are the same from 68-72, and the only difference in the 67 fenders being the side marker light is non existent. Is this info true?

I was wondering this because I would like to put a 67-68 hood on my 72 but thought I'd have to change the whole front clip.

I've heard that as well but can't confirm that it is true. What I can confirm is that you can't just put a 67/68 hood on the 69-72 trucks, even if the fenders happen to be the same. The front of the 67/68 hoods have more of a peak in the front while the 69-72 hoods and grills are flatter. There are, however, a few guys that have modified the 67/68 hoods to fit the 69-72 grill.

You are correct, 68-72 GMC fenders are the same, If you wish to use a 67-68 hood on a 72 GMC you will need, The hood, a 67-68 GMC hood latch and support and a 67-68 GMC upper grill bar (which is riveted to the grill). You will also need the 67-68 fender eyebrow trim as it is much narrower that the 72 version.
IF your looking to make it look factory correct you will also need a 67-68 splash pan which bolts to the bottom of the grill and core support, (the easiest way here is to also use a 67-68 GMC radiator core support as the 72 one does not have the nut inserts for the splash pan).

Yes 68-72 gmc are same. 68 Chevy is also the same.
