Adding a couple inches to 4” suspension lift.

I got a 1991 suburban 3/4 ton 4x4 about a year ago finally getting started on it. The PO never mentioned any lift but I’m about 80% sure it’s got a 4” lift already on it, is there a way i can confirm this? I threw on a 315-75/16 to check my offset of the wheels and they fit pretty good except when i run obviosuly it rubs the fenders. (See second pic)

If it already has a 4” lift, i know i can add 2” block in the rear but i don’t want to put blocks on the front and I’d rather stay away from body lifts. The additional 2” is temporary, just until i can get a 6” suspension lift. I just want something i can add now so i can get these 35’s on it.

Also some research I’ve done shows this truck possibly has the 4l80e transmission. The pan does have 17 bolts but i don’t know how else i could determine which tranny it has.

or another zero rate in the rear with no flip kit .

gets you 2" total . levels the rear a bit with the 2.5"flip kit in rear or the 1" only in rear with another zero rate kit. . and new body bushings to replace the 40+ year old rubber ones .

you will need new u-bolts with these items.

I don’t like adding blocks at all. But, I have a 4 inch lift on my 87 pickup and I run 35s daily and mine doesn’t rub at all. Maybe you only have a 2 inch or 3 inch lift????

I like what i see, i didn’t realize they made aluminum body lifts, i didn’t want to use body lifts because I’ve heard they crack. I work at a steel fab shop and have access to a CNC plasma table, could i make my own pucks out of mild steel?

That’s possible, i looks like the tire only the ribs the flare not really the fender itself. But i have driven it around with 35s either. Either way it seems i only need a couple inches to clear anyways.
