Bed storage ideas
I plan on doing some traveling with my stepside and need some ideas on keeping my stuff dry. Don't really want a tonneau cover. Been trying to find a metal box that doesn't stick above bed that I can paint to match truck. Looked at Gaylord hard covers but I'm not sold on those. You guys have any ideas or know where I can buy a box.

Re: Bed storage ideas
This is the box I have. I like it. It made my truck useful. Weather Guard 674-0-01
http://www.weatherguard.com/en/view/...Chest/674-0-01 So what you're looking for is probably a chest that sits in the truck bed and does not stick up above the bed sides, and does not rest on the bed sides. This is an example of one that is bolted to the bed floor. I got mine from my brother, but I have noticed Northern Tool, Lowes, and Home Depot sell truck boxes. I believe Lowes is a Weather Guard dealer. |

I use a 70's cooler, underneath of it is a small wooden frame I made to hold it in place. I keep some tools and a service manual in it.
