Anyone using a spring with Porterbuilt hood hinges?

I’m using the Porterbuilt hood hinges and when I go to pop my hood open it is SOOO difficult to get my fingers under the hood to lift it. Anyone else have hard time with this? What did you do to help it “pop” it up easier?

Thanks, Wade
