Help me! 1967 c20 lower bearing install

I need help,I have looked through all the threads I can find and can't find anything about lower column bearing replacement.plenty out there about 69 and later.I ordered new bearings and top one fits fine this column is a 1967 c 20 column standard shift ,manual trans. I have the lower bearing hub in my hand but don't see how old bearing race comes out. I have read both bearings are the same but don't know .Thanks RW

I've never done this, but from the looks of it, you punch the race out from the far side (as shown in this picture), and then press the new bearing in.

The old bearing race did press out as you said, now the new bearing doesn't feel like it's going to be small enough to press in hub without distorting it. Thanks RW.
