Looking for Recommendations for Proportioning valve
Planning on replacing the proportioning valve on my 71 with disc/drum brakes.
Just curious of What you'll have used/ purchased that works with our trucks. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Looking for Recommendations for Proportioning valve
Subscribed. For what it's worth, an 60 yrs mechanic told me they rarely go bad.

Re: Looking for Recommendations for Proportioning valve
I got one from CPP with my big brake kit. I know they do sell them for disc/drum and disc/ disc set ups.

Re: Looking for Recommendations for Proportioning valve
Bought mine on Ebay from Summit Racing. The only reason I bought there was free shipping, saved a few bucks.

Re: Looking for Recommendations for Proportioning valve
I used a CCP unit with mine, make sure you buy the valve centring tool with it,it is the only way you can bleed the brakes with it,it does not come with the prop valve.

Re: Looking for Recommendations for Proportioning valve
I got mine from Performance Online. They had a 15% off thing around the holidays. It came with the centering tool for bleeding the brakes and the bracket that bolts to the MC to hold the prop valve. I was happy with it.
