292 Fuel Injection?
Has anyone successfully used a throttle body with the GM/Chevy 292?

There is a special forum called ''Blown and Injected'' on the Inliners International website: www.inliners.org that is specific to this topic. The hot running thread is about a Pontiac OHC 250, which has a different head than the Chevy 230/250 L6s. Also -- sadly-- his photos have disappeared -- it's a long running [five year old] thread. I run an Edelbrock 1404, 500 CFM 4 Bbl, w/Offy 5416 and Clifford headers on the 292 in my '68 Chevy C/10 stepside. Fuel injection on a later project interests me.

Re: 292 Fuel Injection?
It would not be difficult to machine an adapter to go from the square shaped inlet of the Clifford or Offenhauser intake and allow the standard Holly 2 or 3 bolt throttle body to sit on top.
Will check out the Inliners International website: www.inliners.org for more info. Thanks On a different question, found a number of references to GM/Chevy 292 dual cast iron headers, but all the sources I found were sold out. Are these dual cast iron headers easy to locate and are they worth the money? |

Tom Lowe would be an excellent source to ask your earlier FI questions. He's also into turbocharging these L6s.

will work with you 292. You can use Offenhauser Single-Quad Intake Manifolds 5416-LK. I have seen VW Bugs using the 600hp version of the 400.
