I did pull it off, but still have it. Definitely a ranch truck. Might put it back one of these days.

Re: Lets see those brush guards
This is a horrible brush guard on a Cheyenne super from the farm down the road. Its been treated like a lumber wagon its whole life. Still has a lot of good parts on it.

Re: Lets see those brush guards
Here's the one on Greenie - It was a dealer installed option according to the original owner.

Re: Lets see those brush guards
Love the 4 eyes mod, Wayne. Yeah, I believe mine was dealer installed and I think it was fabricated by the same folks that made my step bumper D&D Ranch Supply from Sequin, TX.

Re: Lets see those brush guards
I don't think guards look very classy but I'd definitely want one if I hit a deer or had another dog run out in front of me!
I may get one in the future for my truck. |

Re: Lets see those brush guards
There was a push bar on a 71 suburban in the movie sleepover bandets. Almost looked like hickey enterprises. Wouldn't mind hooking that up to my rig

Re: Lets see those brush guards
Got this one at a wrecking yard a few weeks ago...not sure if im going to install it on my truck or sale it. It is in really unbelievable shape for sitting in a wrecking yard for who knows how long. The rear matching bumper was there also, going to go snag it up soon.

Re: Lets see those brush guards
I went yesterday to the yard to take a closer look and it was something jury rigged from a later model truck, didn't fit right at all so the search continues.

Re: Lets see those brush guards
If they are too big or bulky they don't look very good but I think it's hard to beet the ones from the factory or dealer installed like westong posted. They conform to the grille area without being to massive.

If he won't sell then I'll still be happy...it will protect his grill at least. I have never hit a deer but it's common in WV. I hit a dog once, about 2K damge to my car. I expected the dog to have to be put down....I went back for him but thankfully, the dog was literallly "walking it off." LoL Ironically I was driving slow, hoping to avoid a deer hit and still hit that dog! It ran out so close there was no time to react and I was fully alert. I'd sure hate that happening to my truck. |
