Checking here before I purchase

I wanted to make sure I am buying the right tank and sending unit to relocate under the bed.

I go with the smaller tank to go between the frame rails so I can run a filler neck correct?

link to tank: http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd327.htm

Then I can run this sending unit? the model TAN-GME http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd276.htm

then ill need to run new fuel lines and a filler neck?

Re: Checking here before I purchase

I thought this was the tank everyone was running, but I'm not an expert so I'll defer to those with more experience:

http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd129.htm

Or this one if you want more capacity and have the room above:

http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd325.htm

You didn't specify your vehicle but it looks like you chose the correct sender for original early Chevy gauges.

57, and yea Im keeping the original gauges. I haven't measured how much room I will have above yet. my next question would be why do some tanks have one hole on top and some have two? the ones that have one is the other one on the bottom for a sending unit?

You don’t want the one you linked to IF you plan to use the stock gas gauge. The true Ford tank uses a collet type retainer to hold the sendning unit.

The first one Jesse linked is the one i used. It uses the GM/generic 5 (or is it 6?) hole mount for the sending unit.

When you install a rear tank think about if your exhaust will go around the tank. Will you have room for pipes to the sides/under the tank.
