Upholstered dash
I had posted these pics in another thread in the truck section. Thought I’d share them here in a new thread.
I had a beat up stick dash with the usual cracks. I wanted something that looked stock but a little more modern. So I had an upholstery shop cover my dash in vinyl and I had a double stitch added for a bit of detail. Someone had also commented on my seat upholstery. It’s factory fabric and I love the look |

Re: Upholstered dash
One of the nicest cars we saw at World of Wheels last weekend was an 80's C10 that had a stitched dash, we were wondering who did it. Did they have to do anything to the cracks to prevent them showing through or is the material thick enough to hide them? This looks like a great option to repop dashes.

Re: Upholstered dash
Upholstery shop ground down the edges of the cracks. Filled them and sanded smooth. The vinyl has a thin backing so you don’t feel any imperfections on the original pad.

Re: Upholstered dash
I said it before on the other thread, but I'll say it again here.
That looks awesome!

Re: Upholstered dash
Love the dash and the original houndstooth seats. I used to ride to school, when I was about 10 years old, in a blazer that had that same interior.
Nice work dude!!!

Re: Upholstered dash
Not to be nosy but can you let us know approximately how much that cost to have the dash done?
Looks great BTW!

Your interior looks great! Nice job. I just love the look of our square's interiors.
