You got an awesome deal, I see trucks around here that need complete restorations and they are asking more than what you paid!

You my friend stole that truck. Nice truck. I just gave close to 10 grand for a similar truck in that shape.

Re: I bought a truck! How did I do?
Please keep that truck for life. Interior and overall truck is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!
I love Ochre color and you have a great mix of options. For hard start warm issue - two simple fixes. #1 Put a spacer in between the carb and the intake - can be aluminum spacer or a paper type gasket, they make both - could be a vapour lock issue. #2 Go to Home Depot or Lowes and find some adhesive foil backed tape - it will be in the heating section - used for duct work on aluminum furnace ducting. It comes in rolls and is cheap. Wrap the starter with it on the side facing the engine /exhaust (hot side of engine). Starter could be getting warm . Both cheap fixes and will work. |
