lube or not?

After years of cussing drivers window about 4 in. from the top,(cleaning and lubing channels didnt help) I decided to replace regulator. Sash channel seal was hard and brittle so got a new one also. Am getting ready to reassemble and thinking thin film of lube (faucet grease?) between bottom of window and new seal would let window fully seat and everything could "adjust" freely with nothing in a bind. Am also thinking that same lube could possibly allow the seal to separate from glass when you started to roll it down and leave the window hanging in the hole which would be fairly annoying....anybody have experience with this? Thanks.
