Best place to lift cab for mount replacement

I'm in the process of finally replacing the crushed rubber cab mounts on my 68 and was wondering where the best place is to place a block of wood to lift the cab high enough to replace them. I have a floor jack I'm going to use and have plenty of 2X4 pieces I can use.

One more question: I ordered the rubber mounts (not the polyurethane) from Brotherstrucks. They did not come with the short metal tube inserts that my old ones have. Are they needed?

I would jack on one of the floor supports thats under the cab...it should be plenty stout to lift the cab....I think those metal tubes are to prevent crushing to rubber mount. ...

Thanks mongo. I'm not sure why the Brotherstrucks kit doesn't come with the tubes but I'll call or email them to see what they say. The ones on there now are still usable if I need to use them.

When I pulled my cab it was missing one of the metal tubes for the rubber mount and that body mount on the frame was cracked. The front mount on the same side was also cracked on the frame but had the insert. I imagine not having the rear messed both them up on that side.

I reused the old ones since they were still useable. I also went ahead and used the floor support and a piece of 2X4 cut at a slant to accommodate the slant of the floor support.

Also, since I had removed the bolts on both front and rear mounts I only had to lift on the front support to lift both front and rear enough to swap them out. I repeated the procedure on passenger side.
