headlight control switch

having a problem with my headlight switch. when you turn it to lighten or darken the dash lites, they sometimes cut out or dim my headlights. any remedy for this?

I would geuss a new switch would fix the prob

Try spraying it with a little contact cleaner, may be a cheaper solution.
