77 k20 carrier bearing mounting ???

Hello

I'm building a 77 K20 frame up so I can swap my body over this summer. Today I picked up the trans (sm465), transfer case (np205), and driveshafts from a 79. The rear is a 2 piece shaft but I don't see a place to mount the carrier bearing on the frame. Does anyone have a picture of where it goes, Please.

Hmmm, my 76 has a one piece drive shaft and that's all I usually see on square body 4x4's. I guess I must not have spent much time under 79 and newer 4x4's.

i had one with a 2 piece shaft . you get another whole cross-member and bracket for it .

ditch the 2 piece shaft and just go 1 shaft .

To use the 2 piece drive line you will need to remove the rear cab brackets and replace them with a crossmember that holds the rear cab and has the plate for the carrier bearing.
