Front clip exchange
Will a complete clip from a mid 80’s bolt up on a 74 cab and frame?

Re: Front clip exchange
80s hoods have the upper hinges that bolt to cowl, wheres as 79 and older have the hinges bolted only to the fender.
I've done the opposite- 79 clip on 87 front end with no issue. but like I said not sure about the hinges |

Check/search here to find more info. Its been discussed in length before. This is a good link for the clip swap with the exception of the frame/core support mounts and front bumper... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ront+clip+swap I never had to move the frame mounts, I just used the right rubber bushings for what I was doing.... Here is a link for the front bumper mounts... Look at reply #15 for bumper bracket instructions. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=514024 .
