LWB stepside
Wondering if I took a square body lwb stepside and replaced the fenders with a 67-72 fenders would it work?

Yes and no. The mating area of the fenders differ, so hole drilling and filling will be required. Then there are the front stanchions that are shorter on square bodies due to the design of the steps that bulge and rise higher to accommodate the side of frame mounted tanks. You could fairly easily change those with earlier pieces or fabricate/have fabricated extensions or new stanchions. The bedside is also missing in that lower area. It all depends on how you want your truck to end up. Do you want it back to as built or are you fine with just having a good solid bed that is awful darn close?

Well would want it to look decent my truck was originally a LWB step but find those beds are HARD. So though about using a square-body LWB step and some 67-72 step fenders or just swaping on a fleetside 67-72 LWB bed.
