Re: Flowmaster SS Down Pipes
My brother has those on his 70 C10. It is a quality piece. You can you them as they are or as a foundation to an exhaust system. No really cheap but they work and fit really well.

Re: Flowmaster SS Down Pipes
I used them on my '67 Chevy C20. coming off the stock ram horns is tight and had to put heat tape on them since so close to starter for example. (See picture.) If I knew now what I didn't know then would have maybe gone to long tube headers. But then I wouldn't have all the other heat shields & misc. brackets replaced. I like how it all is turning-out & the 2.5 inch pipes look GREAT!

Re: Flowmaster SS Down Pipes
DJ I would like to do a similar build like yours, can you tell me what mufflers you used. I wanted to exit behind the rear tires like factory, but that will have to wait...thanks jack

Re: Flowmaster SS Down Pipes
I used Cherry Bomb VORTEX (https://cherrybomb.com/project/vortex/)
You can get them with center or offset. I choose offset and they can be installed either direction. I left exhaust in front of rear tires because of the coil spring set-up. Last exhaust was pinched when installed to rear. I did turn the tips down though for better sound going down the road. DJ |
