Ramhorn manifold

Had a leak on the drivers side manifold. Had it faced off. Needed to take off so much now it hits valve cover. Ground off the risers and still hits. Thinking I might have the same problem if I get a used one and face it off. I see new aftermarket ones on Ebay for $50. Anybody ever had success with these? I've also thought of machining a spacer plate but figure that's twice as many potential leak chances. This is a Vortec engine. Is there less clearance on these? Thanks.

Re: Ramhorn manifold

If I can't face it in my belt sander it gets replaced. Not worth sending to the machine shop
