70 GMC front bumper question

Had a fender bender several years ago when a car got to close and pulled drivers side of front bumper out towards front of truck. After multiple attempts to straighten I gave up and bought a repop. Painted it and installed today. No alignment issues with holes, turn signals not blocked, but look at gap on ends...drivers side is much wider than passenger side. WHich is correct (im thinking passenger) and could the drivers bracket be the issue? I have access to a milling machine and can slot the rear mounting hole to try and tuck it in if this is the issue. Just looking for comments. Thanks in advance.

Drivers side looks correct. Passenger side is too tight

Re: 70 GMC front bumper question

I have a 70 GMC 2500. My Dad bought new in 1970. It's never been in a accident.

My bumper fits the exact same way. Very tight on the passenger side with 1+ inch gap on the drivers side.

I got the front bumper from LMC. Did you get your bumper from them?

Re: 70 GMC front bumper question

Some washers and elongating some holes can fix that problem.

Three people here with the same bumper fitment issues.

Sounds like a defective batch of parts to me.

Re: 70 GMC front bumper question

I got the bumper from SW classics in Arlington TX. My brother has a 71 and I asked him to send me pics of his to see if his is the same. But yeah, thinking of taking brackets to work and mill slots to get the gap close(r). Thanks for replies.
