Door Hinge Inner Brace

I am about to tack in my new lower Jam piece for the drivers side door. I noticed that the new patch panel doesn't have the inner bracing. Do you guys just weld nuts on the inside of the new panel or do you get the brace out of the old piece and tack it in ? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Door Hinge Inner Brace

I welded nuts on, I didn't need to have "original" as to this part, but do what is easiest and functional for you. I tacked 6 times around each nut for strength.

Thank you I figured that’s all I needed to do. If it was that important they would sell them with the braces on them already and charge more ha.
