Porterbuilt hinges pics

Just got my porterbuilt hood hinges.. Looking for ideas for what color to paint them as well as install pics.

One issue we ran into was the back of the plate had to be recessed because when closed, the back of the hood was up about a 1/4”.

You can see it in the photo.

Well I'm hoping not to have to do that. My truck is painted so the less I have to butcher the better..
