81/ light 3/4 ton, hauled a load of scrap, waay over GVW. Like 2 tons over. Drove nice and slow, was a little light on the front but almost all straight roads. Got close to the yard, hit a bump, both front wheels came off the ground, rear frame hit the ground(no bumper), pushed the front back down. Apparently the center of gravity was right at the rear wheels.
Similar with an overload of hay, only a lot of S curves, would have to let off the gas and brake slightly to get enough weight on the front for the tires to bite and turn. Was pretty exciting the first corner it happened on, hit the brakes and turned very suddenly.
Never tried that many bales again.
