what year did they change them because i want to go to dis brake what do i have to get lmk thanks

'71 was the first official year for truck disc brakes. I'd recommend finding a donor truck in reasonable condition. You'll get ALL the parts at a reasonable price, and if you take lots of pictures before you take it apart, you will be able to put it back together in your truck. I'd recommend new flexible brake lines when you do it.

I purchased a complete power front disc kit for my '70. I have not yet installed it but I am dying to get started on it.
