66 c10 spindles / brakes ????
I just bought a 66 c10 , I want to install 3inch drop spindles, new ball joints/tie rod ends and sleeves. The question is what year are these disc brakes pictured and do I order dropped spindles for a 66 c10 or whatever year the disc brakes are from,as well as tie rod ends and so on ? THANKS

Re: 66 c10 spindles / brakes ????
Well it is impossible to say for sure from those pics. But the spindles appear to be fairly new and the ball joints obviously are not, so my guess is that the PO bought disc brake conversion spindles for a '63-'70 truck. I would imagine the tierods are the same '66 vintage as well.

I guess what Capt guesses. If that is the case you could get spindles from here. https://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog...&keys=&=Search

I haven't ever seen 3" drop spindels. As far as I know, 2-1/2" are as low as they go.

Belltech , DJM , Street Edge are just a few off the top of my head that make a 3'' dropped spindle for a 66 c10.

Re: 66 c10 spindles / brakes ????
I installed CPP spindles on mine and they have "CPP" cast into them. I believe they make a 2-1/2" drop spindle.
