1967 chassis on a 1966 frame?

Hi, I’m wondering what the general differences are between a 1966 C10 swb frame and a 1967 C10 swb frame? Are the main frame rails the same between the two body styles with the exception of cab brackets etc?

I’m exploring my options as my 1967 C10 looks to have some damage to the frame. Ultimately, I would be looking for a 67-72 frame, but wondering if a 63-66 frame might work too? I will also be weighing the option of cutting/splicing from a donor if need be.

Thanks!

Re: 1967 chassis on a 1966 frame?

Grab yourself a 70-72 disk brake lwb chassis and cut it down to swb....

-66 is a hot mess trying to get it to work with 67 on...

Using 70-72 disk brake chassis...they are readily available..

Try the Parts section of the forum...
