No. typically the date code for the manufacture of a part used on a given vehicle occured withing 3 months prior to the vehicle comming off the line. This is not a hard fast rule because GM was known to do certain RPO's in batches. But over on the corvette side of the house three months prior to the vehicle commng off the line is the general rule.NCRS came up with that rule of thumb for judging perposes, plenty of evidence otherwise too.

I worked on big trucks back in the late 70's early 80's and as soon as the warrenty was done, anything could have been stuffed back in that truck. more often than once too.
