Barrett-Jackson Vegas

I attended the auction this past weekend. Thought I would share the 67-72's that I saw. Some nice trucks. Shocked at the price on a few of them, but in general a well done rebuild was going for 30 - 35K. Proof that you can often buy one cheaper than you can build one. Enjoy.

I'd be proud to own any of them but the burgundy and white two tone GMC really tripped my tree. Love that color combo.

Re: Barrett-Jackson Vegas

Glad you got to go!!!

What kind of $$$ did you have to spend to "spectate"?

Thanks for the pic's!!! Nice rides!!!

I watched some on the tube. Cristy Lee doesn't seem to know much about cars, supposedly her expertise is motorcycles. I can tolerate, she's nice! The "sold sticker" gal was awesome also, those leather pants went well with her red hair!!!

It was $50 for a three day pass. Not bad at all. The leather pants were nice...

Re: Barrett-Jackson Vegas

I’m no longer allowed to attend as I tend to run thru the staging lanes pointing at various truck screaming “OVERPRICED FAKER WITH NO SPID, OVERPRICED FAKER WITH NO SPID!!!” for a few minutes before security can tackle me...

JUST kidding . Some nice trucks there - I watched a a little on tv.

The orange and white K20 was mine. It was definitely a unique experience. I was impressed with the selection of trucks.

I hope it was a good experience also
Looked like you got good money for your truck.

This is a curiosity question?
I see you are in the Bay Area right next to me
Why did you list it in Vegas
Instead of waiting for Scottsdale
I go to the auctions in Arizona in January
BJ seems to be so much busier there, than their other venues.

I have never sold anything at those auctions, but I sure would be nervous

I caught several hours on Thursday, alot of the vehicles seemed to sell lower than I would have thought. Especially that fake patina one, went for 12-15 grand? Which is an outright steal in my book as you could get a new paint job and have a great truck in the mid-high teens

Re: Barrett-Jackson Vegas

I chose attending Vegas since I was tired of paying storage fees and wanted to take advantage of the upswing in the economy. I was talking to the owner of the car the sold before mine (an AC Cobra replica) which he bought the prior year for 65K and sold at Las Vegas for 35K. It's definitely a gamble with no reserve. Felt like I was playing Deer Hunter.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
