Distributor keeps turning
I have a HEI and the flange that is suppose to keep it for going out of time won't hold it down. What are my options? I notice the parts look stainless and do not grip like the old steel ones.

Re: Distributor keeps turning
Maybe scuff up the two surfaces with some fine grit sandpaper or file. Make sure the threads in the manifold are in good shape. If that bolt won't stay tight, the dizzy can move.

Re: Distributor keeps turning
Could be too long of a bolt and is bottoming out. Or just pull the fork off and rebend it. I just did a distributor the other day on my truck and barely snug it holds the distributor in place

Yeah that bolt is really short!
Do you have the gasket in place? |
