Re: The insurance adjuster
We should be able to buy insurance to protect us from the insurance adjusters!

Re: The insurance adjuster
In my line of work I deal with lots of adjusters & different companies.
Progressive is absolutely the worst of the worst. I'm all about earning a profit for your work but when it comes to cheating your customers that's just not right. The last Progressive claim I repaired I worked offa their estimate because no other shop in the community would touch it for what they would pay. When I was done I came in under budget & they wouldn't even pay their own estimate dollar amount! But you can have trouble with any of them. We have State Farm & when my wife's new at the time Black '92 Pathfinder got silver paint sprayed on it the adjuster offered us $400 & told us no body shop around here could paint that truck & make it look right! I told them then it will travel until it finds one that could paint it! Long story short they paid a local shop to paint it (And it turned out fine!) but paid them over twice as much as they offered me NOT to paint it! If they could pay the shop $900 to paint it why didn't they offer me the $900 to start with? Me & my agent had a long & up close conversation about this at the time! Re: The insurance adjuster
Yep, this is true. All insurance companies try to make it sound like they are there for you. What they really mean is that they are there to try and get out of making it right for you.

Re: The insurance adjuster
Second hand quote from an friend who's uncle was an Insure adjuster
Adjuster "You know what my job is?" Friend "not really" Adjuster "My job is to cheat you out of the money you are entitled to." Then went on to explain that by keeping his claims low he got bonuses. |

Re: The insurance adjuster
When I had my Motorcycle Shop I hated it when I worked on a Bike from Progressive Ins. never dealt with one that was decent. I was working on a customers bike that got rear ended and it bent the rim, I wanted to put a New Tire on because of the wreck he said NO! Okay I handed him a release to sign for me because of his actions on tire. Two days later he called and told me to replace the tire.

Re: The insurance adjuster
I would get as much money as I can get out of the insurance company But you do need a couple of quotes and then I would go in search Of good used replacement parts and do the work myself
