Temporary 350..FREE!!!!

I may have found a temporary motor for my truck while I searche for what I really want. It is a 1977 350, never rebuilt smokes on startup and not sure of anything else. My brothers gf dad yanked it a few years back and dropped a 98 V8 into the 77. He says it had been started since then and run, so I'm guessing I'm gonna have to pull it out of something, but it will be a temp fix for my dilema at the moment if it goes through. He said he probably would just give it to me so he can get rid of it. Like I said if it goes through, so this means that I will have 2 350's in my possesion....my dad was given one by his freind...not running.
we will see.....
I'm however not counting on it....just wating and seeing.
hmmm.....going through two motors sure makes a guy patient....
LOL

Congrats on the free motor. Anything like that free is worth a try. The smoke at start-up is more than likely dried up valve seals, not a real problem to be concerned about. I'd stab it in and drive it easy, don't hot rod it though.
