FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE MEMBERS FOR THE TECH ADVICE. NOW HERE IS ANOTHER ? CAN I SWITCH AXLES FROM A 6-5 LUG JUST BY SWAPPING AXLES? THANK YOU

67 to 69 are narower than 70 to 72 so if you have a 70 yes.

I have 69, so the 71/72 axles are too long. I ended up having the 69 axle flanges welded-up and re-drilled for 5 on 5. The guy who did it used a CNC machine to align and drill the holes and only charged me $50 for the pair including new wheel studs.

Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming. Retired as a factory automation products salesman.
