Re: best battery chargers??
Mike, I bought this one in April of 2015 and have been happy with it. While it doesn’t get heavy daily use, it does what I’ve needed well.

Re: best battery chargers??
That is kinda weird about the Schumackers (sp) I have 2 of them that are well over 20 years old by now and never an issue. One of them has been left out in downpours and never failed. I spent several hundred on a snap on charger years back and just out of warranty it popped the transformer, same with the 2 I have had from Napa (not sure of the brand). Maybe they have gone cheap like everything else seems to have.

Re: best battery chargers??
i broke down & went to NAPA & bought a charger on wheels- on first use i was disapointed ! it wont charge up completely w/o automaticly switching to a lower setting ! to avoid overcharging ???? ITS GOING BACK ! WHEN I NEED A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY -I NEED ONE !! NOW TO MAKE A DECISION -ON WHAT BRAND ? seems like all the better ones are higher prices ??

Re: best battery chargers??
I've had a shumacher last 15 years, the only issue I've had is the timer quit working.
If your are on a budget, they are a great quality battery charger. I have one of these now. I bought it used, no issues after 5 years, but there is a huge difference in price. https://store.snapon.com/Battery-Cha...--P891753.aspx |
