Transfer case mounting

Hopefully someone can help out with this one. I'm building a 69 K20 Suburban. The drivetrain is installed, 396 th350 205 case. Couple questions, the transfer case is very close to the floor, my mounts are 1 1/4" tall is that correct? There is a crossmember that holds the carrier bearing, right now I would have to remove that crossmember for driveshaft cleareance. I really think the t-case mounts are too tall. I know I could space the crossmember but I would much prefer to just do it the right way. I'll post some pictures as well.

Re: Transfer case mounting

I went out and measured, and with the weight on it, my mount is about an inch. There is about 3/4 inch from the top of the 205 to the floor.

Carrier bearing? Is this a 2WD conversion?

Re: Transfer case mounting

Thanks for the measurement! I don't think it's a conversion, it originally had a 4 speed though. Do you have a crossmember about 12" behind the transfer case yoke on the top part of the frame rail?
