my latest find - 1969 C10
Hello all~Found this nice original owner truck in Palm Springs. 53,000 original miles, 292 with 3 OTT. Bought it for my son, who turns 16 in Jan. Let the work begin!

For now we are pulling all the front sheet metal off the truck to clean and paint the frame. Gonna refresh the 292. Needs lower rust repair on driver fender and a new wheel well for passenger side due to rust from battery.
My son wants to retain the patina for now so I might shoot it with a clear. The lady in the pic the daughter of the original owner kissing the truck goodbye! |

Nice story...I'm sure it's not easy for her to let something go of her Dad's. Just make sure you do the satin clear when you get to that point.

That's cool your son wanted an old truck. The six cylinder will do great, but you know you better start looking for a V8, your son will start craving more power soon.
