Sport side mirror 101 for $200 Alex
Got a few questions on Sport Side mirrors.....lol, I'm learning I really don't understand the details as well as I thought I did.
Is the mirrored glass replaceable? I have a two edge chips on a mirror and has a slight tick to it as it sits in the housing; see pics: Also, is this what the factory mounting holes look like on a door? The included hard plastic shim/gasket fits the two mounting holes perfectly and the third hole fits the plastic nub I assume for locating the mirror correctly? If those are the correct mounting holes, it appears there "may be" left and right specific plastic shims/gaskets because the third hole on the drivers side has the same orientation as the passenger for mounting or are they all the same as shown below? Thanks for the help!

Re: Sport side mirror 101 for $200 Alex
update:
1. upon further research it looks like those door mounting holes are useable for sport mirror mounting but there is an inner structure they actually bolt too. 2. it appears replacement glass is available for these mirrors. 3. the plastic gasket looks to be the only type available (that I know of) and I will need to cut the plastic nub of to use it on one of the sides.

Cut off the nub or drill a new hole for it to fit on the opposite side?

I cut the knubs off mine to use. I didn't have the brackets for the inside of the door so I used shallow bolts and larger washers with nuts. Worked fine.

Chief, the inner supports can be purchased and they provide some inner structure for the mirror. You’re in track Bud! Mike
