Interior refresh.

1967 C10 long stepside. Some PO had decided that he needed to refresh the interior. He got some rattle cans and painted it silver. Not a very good job, plus it was showing serious wear. It bothered me every time I got in the truck ( I know, silly ) so I had the interior repainted in as near original color as I could find. Also replaced the instrument panel, new speedo (old odometer didn't work, and it cost more to rebuild the old than a new repo). Quite a few miscellaneous new parts. repo wheel, etc, etc. I also had the ugly, rusty aftermarket tripod door mirrors replaced with stock-ish design. I have a new floor mat ordered. Does anyone know where one can find a shift boot for a 67 4-speed? Lots available for 68-72, but I can't find a 67.

I tried to attach some pics. Guess we will see if I have that figured out.

Re: Interior refresh.

Thanks for the kind comments. The color is one that I (almost) got from this forum. The color most often suggested here was Nissan EVO "Sunlit Sand". When the body guy took the doors apart, he found a good sized area of original paint (the PO had not removed the door panels when he sprayed silver). He had a good sized pile of paint chips about this color, so we sat down inside, and outside in the sun, and there was a color that was the same EVO except it had a dash number like EVO-2 or something like that. We could hardly tell the difference, but decided it was closer, so we went with that.

Re: Interior refresh.

Looks really good. I would love to do this to to mine but i has no money for it.
As for the shift boot in the picture it looked ok. Maybe just clean it really good. Then repaint the shifter.
