vortec, cam, spring

For my vortec install I have opted for the Edelbrock Performer vortec intake with a crane cam Pt# 100052 / .272 duration with .454 lift. I have hedman full length coated headers.
What springs should I use and should I change the keepers as well. What self aligning rockers should I use. This will be a daily driver with the occasional visit to the track.

Thanks

Steve

If the springs are in good condition you dont need to replace them Vortecs can handle up to .470 lift before they need upgraded springs.

There is nothing wrong with GM factory self aligning rockers. I would check for coil bind, and bottom of retainer to valve seal clearance (at full valve lift) on any instl. with over .450" lift. What works on one assy. does not mean it will work on "yours". Every engine build up has different tolerance acumulation. Don't cost a thing to check, & better to know that "your" assy. has proper clearance intstead of hoping it does.
