Can someone recommend some mufflers?
I'm putting an '08 5.3 into my 65 C10. It will be all stock with stock exhaust manifolds. I'm going to run dual exhaust, no cats. I realize what others like is pretty individual but I'm wondering if someone can recommend some baffled mufflers with that set up that will not be too loud but give a nice throaty rumble.

Re: Can someone recommend some mufflers?
ive used maxflow on 2 trucks...not loud but a nice little rumble....I think they're a copycat of magnaflow...their name used to be magflow but they changed it...checkem out on ebay...theyre a straight thru design muffler but its surprising how quite it is..
there is also a muffler made by Quiteflow you might check into

Re: Can someone recommend some mufflers?
I like the turbo style mufflers. They sound good, but are still quiet enough for a daily driver.

Re: Can someone recommend some mufflers?
I've run magnaflow bullets and dynomax bullets in the past. I run fairly small ~16" ones, with an H pipe no cats. Truck is louder and has a touch more drone on my particular setup, but not altogether unpleasant.

Re: Can someone recommend some mufflers?
I put on Borla Pro XS on my 5.3 LS swap.
I'm happy with the sound. I can have a conversation in the cab when cruising and grin on my face when you mash the pedal down.

Re: Can someone recommend some mufflers?
If you don't want it "Nasty mean sounding" but a little "pep when you step": Summit has a polished stainless steel muffler that someone makes for them?- Not sure who? It looks just like a dynomax but better price. Good quality workmanship I was very happy with the sound.
