The Davison Twp fire chief lived on the same street as my family growing up (so did they mayor; our street was the first one to be plowed after a snowstorm!).

We had a 69 GMC short bed 2wd stepside, in Hugger Orange. When the chief saw that truck he liked it so well that they ordered a similar truck (only 4wd, and long wheel base stepper) as their brush fire truck.

I wish I could find that one (or our 69, for that matter).
