How to identify diff- for car or truck 12 bolt
I have a posi diff with 3.73:1 gears on it, I was told it was a 12 bolt but it was a few years ago and I really don’t know what I have. I’ve searched around a little but can’t find easy answer- how do I tell if I have a truck or car differential? There’s something to easily measure right?

Re: How to identify diff- for car or truck 12 bolt
Thanks. That was an article I had looked at, but I decided to open it again and somehow I missed the one important line with measurement of pinion gear. So I’ve got a truck diff! Relieved, now to slap er in there
