Windstar Electic fans, do they have to be wired for variable speeds
So its a 6.0 inor block and a 6l80e transmission.
I wanted to go with a 99-03 cherokee fan (2661-0016) with a sbc fan shroud but it looks like too tight of a fit. So I'm looking at 95-03 windstar fans (FO3115111). Can they be wired to run one speed? Or does it have to be programmes to run variable speeds? I would just like to stagger their activation temps and have the small fan run for 10 minute delay after shutting down the truck. I was planning on using a universal summit fan electric fan thermostat kit, but it looks like you have have your on programmed to run them |

Re: Windstar Electic fans, do they have to be wired for variable speeds
I run a variable speed mark v11 fan on only a high speed circut. There should be three wires coming from the fan ,aground, low spped and a high speed wire. I only used the ground and high speed wire. If you want a great fan controller get the dakota digital pwm controller.

Here is a link I have on my 2 speed fan in the truck and Impala. Both are wired with the micro switches to turn the fans off at highway speed.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
