Does a 4/6 drop kit require C notching the frame on 68 C10

I would like to lower my 1968 Chevy C10 fleetside using a 4/6 drop kit but I am not sure if that would require C notching the frame in which I would not want to do. Anybody know if that is something that would need to be done in order to lower it that much?

A lot of people have got by with 4/6” without c notching (myself included) but it’s really close. On my truck it required removing the bump stops and would bottom out in the rear if I hit a really big bump at speed. That was a rare occurrence, but it would happen. Most of the time it was fine.

I did an ECE 4/6 drop and wasn't even close to needing a C notch, but did it thinking I would before I got the suspension stuff.

Give me a few and I'll get a picture of the distance between axle and frame so you can judge for yourself

Ok so from the top of the axle to the bottom of the frame is 3”. Not a lot of room. ECE says nonotch needed, I’ll leave it up to you. With the Cnotch there is about 5.25 “ from top of axle to bump sto

Here is my 67 C10 swb with 4 inch CPP drop springs plus 2 inch drop blocks. I have about one inch to the bumps and three inches to the chassis and no notch. It will hit the bumps occasionally but mostly I do OK. (Not sure why my photo rotated).
