1969 C-10 side step
Good evening ,
I bought a 1969 Chevy C10 sidestep as a project . My first project truck . The truck is very simple . Nothing extra on it . Can I put an alarm system Without having to update my wiring ? Thank you |

Nope. You will have to at least wire in the alarm system. That does not necessarily mean you have to "update" all the wiring. Do you mean replacing the entire wiring harness? The previous owner of my truck ran wires everywhere, even under the carpet, live voltage and not connected to anything.

It depends on the alarm system. If it can wear a collar attached to a leash, I'd say go for it.

I suppose it would depend on the system but like Steveee said you shouldn't have to change anything on your existing wiring. LockDoc

Those things used to just hook up to the battery, but I have not bought one in years.

Re: 1969 C-10 side step
New alarm system needs no wiring and uses water and kibble.. Some maintenance required..

Re: 1969 C-10 side step
Sweet looking ride
if you do decide to upgrade your wiring https://www.americanautowire.com/ you can do it in stages replace one peice at a time factory fit and if you go for the recommended truck alarm When the Dog absolutely hates someone to the point of almost breaking glass really watch them close |
