Anybody running 235\75\15 tires on their 67-72 C10
If anybody is running 235\75\15 tires on their 67-72 C10 could you post a pic of what it looks like? I can get a good deal on a set of 4 and was going to run them on some 15x8 6 lug steelies on a 68 shortbed fleetside.

Bargain Toyos 235/75/R15's on my 72 with the original rims.
Before and after. I want to up size later with possibly some 17" or 18"s to fill up the wheel wells a tad more |

Re: Anybody running 235\75\15 tires on their 67-72 C10
I had some 235/75-15s on my truck that were weather checked bad. I thought that they looked goofy so I posted about using a taller tire. Well I ended up pulling the hubcaps off and went with 235/75-15s. Turns out that I think it was the car hubcaps that was what I didn’t like.

Here is mine with 235/75 R 15 Goodyear Wrangler SRA tires on 15 x 7 rims. 235/75 15's on an 8 inch rim look someone stretched as 255/70 15's on an 8 inch rim.

I have stock wheels also, so I can't speak to the 8" rims. I think the 235/75's look good on stock wheels, though.

Re: Anybody running 235\75\15 tires on their 67-72 C10
Just as a point when these trucks were new radial tires were just starting to be introduced to the North American market. The tires that came on these trucks new were bias ply tires and used the size designations G-H L.. For example the L78-15 morphed into the 235/75 R 15 radial.. A 1/2 ton with a 5000 GVW would probably have G78 15 bias ply tire, which I think is 215/75 R15 from the factory and a 5400 GVW truck would have an H78-15 which is the 225/75 R15 tire bias ply tire on it.. My memory on this tire stuff may be somewhat fuzzy so if anyone wants to add or correct something I said feel free..

Here is 255/70 15 Cooper Cobras on 15 x 8 Rallys.. When I had this truck I had a lot of compliments on the stance how good the rims/tires filled out the wheel wells on the truck.

Nice truck, like the color combo. I found a truck with the same color combo but the paint is faded. Now I know what it’s suppose to look like. Oh yeah it’s a Cheyenne super with big block. Think it’s 71-72.

Here is mine with 235/75/15's on 7" wheels, and the G78/15 spare under that same truck.
